However the capacity of the containers might feel a bit lower than ideal. We’re looking at balancing this to make it fairer.Ĭrafting containers for your boat is a great way of increasing the amount of items you can store, and they’re perfect for holding items you don’t need to consume all the time. Stamina is a key resource for Kara, and the feedback we’re reading is that perhaps it recharges a little too slowly. So we’re going to be making changes to that, and making it clearer when food is close to going bad so you don’t lose it. Some of you have told us that food goes bad too quickly and makes the game too punishing. Again, we’re working on resolving these issues. And you’ve told us that it felt unfair that dying in Storyteller mode as it meant you lost your boat and everything you’d stored on it. The feedback we’ve got is that parts of Storyteller currently feel too punishing. That wasn’t our intention, and we’re sorry if it’s diminished your experience. This is obviously exacerbated if you experience a crash, and it can make the whole Windbound experience feel unfairly punishing. The next biggest and most consistent theme we see in your feedback is that you want the game to save your progression automatically, and that you’re frustrated and annoyed when you potentially lose hours of progress, your awesome boat builds, weapon cache, and food stocks. We really want to resolve these issues as quickly as we can, so what would help us enormously is that if you do experience a crash you could send us your log and crash dump files.Ĭ:/Users//AppData/LocalLow/5 Lives Studios/Windbound/player.logĪnd if there’s a crash dump it’s located here:Ĭ:/Users//AppData/Local/Temp/5 Lives Studios/Windbound/Crashes We only have a limited amount of PC hardware combinations here in the studio and at home, and irritatingly no matter how hard we’ve tried we don’t get the same issues that you’re experiencing. We’re not happy about it either, and so we’d like to ask for your help in tracking down the crashes that are being reported. Probably the #1 piece of feedback we’ve had is that you’re unhappy about Windbound crashing on you. We can’t address every piece of feedback in a single update, but please know that we are working through it and we will be providing more updates (and additional features and content) in the future. We’ve been going through it all down here at the studio in Australia, and we want to share with you our progress as we prepare our first update. Thanks so much for playing Windbound, and also for taking the time to give us your feedback.
